Meet the Cast

Scott D. Bahlmann (Orpheus) studied theatre at Snow College and SUU where he had a great time playing such roles as Otto Frank, Felix Unger, Captain Hook, Jark Worthing, and many others. In the year since he moved to Salt Lake he’s played a Twit, a vampire, and an environmentalist. He’s very excited to portray Orpheus in his first show at The Grand Theatre. He enjoys researching his characters and making new friends from the cast and crew.  Beware the quails.

Holly Braithwaite (Loud Stone) has performed for a couple of decades in Utah venues from Salt Lake to St. George. As an actress, dancer and singer, Holly has been in both plays and musicals at Dixie College, StateRight Theatre, Desert Star and Hale Centre Theatre, to name a few. Favorite shows include Barefoot in the Park (Corie), Crimes of the Heart (Meg), The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswoman’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of A Christmas Carol (Felicity), and The Rocky Horror Show where she started out playing her saxophone in the band and ended up playing Janet. Holly most recently performed in two plays as part of the Page-to-Stage short play festival at the Rose Wagner. She has studied dance for her entire life, plays the saxophone and writes her own blog at www.radiofreeholly.com as well as is a contributing writer for other local arts blogs.

Joe Crnich (Big Stone) marks his first production at The Grand. He is thrilled to be a stone and to be a part of Eurydice. During the day and most nights, Joe is the director of Theatre Arts at The DaVinci Academy in Ogden. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, The Goodman Theatre in Chicago, and has performed at The Kennedy Center. Joe has also performed a number of staged readings at SLAC’s New Play Sounding Series. Some of his favorite roles include Macbeth, Starbuck in The Rainmaker, Wykowski in Biloxi Blues and Vershinin in Three Sisters. Joe would like to thank his family for their love and support and letting him play. When he has free time Joe loved to ride his bike over mountain and road, ski, listen to jazz, and indulge in fine food.

Ileana Kovalskaya (Little Stone) was born and raised in Ukraine, speaks Russian, dabbles in tennis and pretends to ski. While participating in ongoing actor training with Frank Gerrish, Ileana spent 2009 in the SLCC Black Box production of One Acts as the mean wife, lipstick assassin, scared wife, priest, and eventual killer, and performed in numerous student films for the University of Utah and SLCC along with playing a sex psycho killer for the 48-Hour Film Festival. Ileana is thrilled and grateful for her Grand Theatre debut as Little Stone.

Dan Larrinaga (Man) is excited to return to The Grand Theatre after last season’s 4 Guys Named Jose. He was most recently seen at the Desert Star Theatre in Nutcracker: Men in Tights. This past summer, Dan thoroughly enjoyed being part of Dark Horse Company Theatre’s Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in Park City’s Egyptian Theatre, as Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd. A native of Utah, Dan has performed in many theatres throughout the region. Favorite credits include, Talking Wales III (Utah Contemporary Theatre); Rat Pack Remembered (Desert Star Theatre); Carousel, She Loves Me!, and How to Succeed in Business (The Grand Theatre); Saturday’s Voyeur(s), Big Love and Napoleon’s China (Salt Lake Acting Company); Snakebit and Popcorn (Pygmalion Productions) to name only a few. He holds a BA in English from the University of Utah and he spent one expensive year at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts’ Film & TV Graduate program.

Stephanie Ogden (Eurydice) grew up performing as a classically trained vocalist and ballerina. It wasn’t until her senior year at the University of Utah that she took her first acting class and realized what she had been missing! After earning a degree in Psychology, Stephanie made her stage debut in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Beehive Theatre. Next she joined the Egyptian Theatre’s holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Stephanie is honored to be here at The Grand in this beautiful play. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.

Stephen Williams (Father) is delighted to be involved in this production of Eurydice. Favorite theatrical roles include Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, Major General in Pirates of Penzance, Bob in Wonderful Town, and Lyman Hall in 1776 (The Grand Theatre).
